- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg (optional)
- 1 package (20 oz) cheese tortellini (fresh or frozen)
- 1/2 cup reserved pasta water
- Fresh parsley, for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the tortellini according to package instructions. Reserve ½ cup pasta water and set aside.
- Sauté the beef: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add beef, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned. Remove and set aside.
- Make the Alfredo sauce: In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic for 30 seconds. Add heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, and nutmeg. Simmer for 2-3 minutes.
- Combine everything: Add the cooked tortellini and beef to the sauce. Stir gently, adding pasta water if needed to adjust consistency.
- Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan if desired.
