Description

This Beef Tortellini Alfredo is a creamy, comforting pasta dish loaded with tender beef, cheese-stuffed tortellini, and a rich, garlicky Alfredo sauce. It’s a quick and satisfying meal perfect for busy weeknights or a cozy dinner. Ready in under 30 minutes!

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 lb beef (sirloin or ground beef), cut into small pieces
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg (optional)
  • 1 package (20 oz) cheese tortellini (fresh or frozen)
  • 1/2 cup reserved pasta water
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  • Cook the tortellini according to package instructions. Reserve ½ cup pasta water and set aside.
  • Sauté the beef: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add beef, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned. Remove and set aside.
  • Make the Alfredo sauce: In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic for 30 seconds. Add heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, and nutmeg. Simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  • Combine everything: Add the cooked tortellini and beef to the sauce. Stir gently, adding pasta water if needed to adjust consistency.
  • Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan if desired.

Notes

  • For extra richness, add ¼ cup cream cheese to the sauce.
  • Swap beef for chicken or shrimp for a different protein option.
  • Use store-bought Alfredo sauce for a quicker version.
