Description

This sandwich is a delightful fusion of a classic Caesar salad and a hearty sandwich. Tender grilled chicken, crisp romaine lettuce, and shaved Parmesan are layered between a freshly toasted croissant, then drizzled with zesty Caesar dressing for a satisfying lunch or light dinner.

Ingredients

• 2 croissants (or French-style croissants split horizontally)

• 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

• Salt and pepper, to taste

• 1-2 tablespoons olive oil (for grilling)

• 1 cup chopped romaine lettuce

• 1/4 cup Caesar dressing (store-bought or homemade)

• 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese

• Optional: Croutons for added crunch, or sliced avocado for extra creaminess

Instructions

1. Prepare the Chicken:

– Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper and drizzle with olive oil.

– Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat.

– Grill the chicken for 6–8 minutes per side or until fully cooked.

– Remove from heat, let rest for a few minutes, then slice thinly.

2. Toss the Lettuce:

– In a bowl, combine the chopped romaine lettuce with the Caesar dressing. Toss gently until evenly coated.

3. Assemble the Sandwich:

– Split the croissants horizontally.

– Layer the sliced chicken on the bottom half.

– Top with the dressed romaine lettuce and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.

– If using, add croutons or avocado slices for extra texture.

– Place the top half of the croissant over the filling.

4. Serve:

– Enjoy immediately while the croissant is still slightly warm and the chicken is juicy.

Notes

• For extra flavor, consider adding a few strips of crispy bacon.

• You can substitute the store-bought Caesar dressing with your favorite homemade version.

• If you prefer your sandwich with a bit of crunch, lightly toast the croissant before assembling.

• Leftover grilled chicken can be used to prepare this sandwich later in the week.
