This Cinnamon-Sugar Pizza made with Crescent Rolls is a creative twist on dessert pizza. It features a buttery, flaky crescent roll crust topped with a generous sprinkle of cinnamon and sugar, making it a delightful treat that’s both easy to prepare and irresistible for any sweet tooth.
Ingredients
– 1 can crescent roll dough (8 rolls)
– 3 tablespoons melted butter
– 1/2 cup granulated sugar
– 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
– Optional for icing:
– 1/2 cup powdered sugar
– 2-3 tablespoons milk
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a baking sheet.
2. Unroll the crescent roll dough onto a lightly floured surface. Press the seams together to form a continuous sheet.
3. Brush the entire dough with melted butter.
4. In a small bowl, mix the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon. Sprinkle the mixture evenly over the buttered dough.
5. For a pizza-like shape, roll the dough into a log and slice into 1/2-inch thick rounds, or flatten into a rectangle and cut into slices.
6. Arrange the slices on the prepared baking sheet.
7. Bake for 12–15 minutes until the dough is golden brown and the cinnamon-sugar topping is bubbly.
8. Optional: For an extra touch of sweetness, mix the powdered sugar with milk until smooth and drizzle over the warm slices.
9. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
– Make sure to brush the melted butter evenly for the best flavor.
– For a crunchier texture, consider baking a minute or two longer.
– Feel free to customize by adding nuts or dried fruit to the topping if desired.
