A healthy and creamy pasta sauce made with cottage cheese for a rich, tangy flavor and velvety texture. Perfect for mixing with your favorite pasta.
Ingredients
– 2 cups cottage cheese
– 1/2 cup milk
– 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
– 2 cloves garlic, minced
– Salt and pepper, to taste
– Optional: 1/4 teaspoon dried basil, 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano, pinch of red pepper flakes
– Optional: Fresh basil for garnish
Instructions
1. In a blender, combine the cottage cheese, milk, Parmesan cheese, garlic, salt, pepper, and optional dried herbs. Blend until smooth.
2. Taste the sauce and adjust seasonings as needed.
3. Pour the sauce into a saucepan and gently heat over medium-low heat until warmed through, stirring occasionally.
4. Serve over your favorite cooked pasta and garnish with fresh basil if desired.
Notes
– For a thinner consistency, add a bit more milk.
– Using full-fat cottage cheese provides a richer flavor.
