Description

Frozen Applesauce Bites are a refreshing, healthy snack made with smooth applesauce, frozen into bite-sized cubes—perfect for a cool treat during warm weather or as a fun way to get some extra fruit in your diet.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 1/2 cups unsweetened applesauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the applesauce, honey (or maple syrup), and cinnamon (if using) until well combined.
  2. Pour the applesauce mixture into silicone ice cube trays or mini muffin tins.
  3. Place the tray in the freezer and freeze for 2–3 hours or until solid.
  4. Once frozen, pop out the applesauce bites and store them in a freezer-safe bag or container.
  5. Enjoy as a quick snack, or serve as a refreshing treat during hot days.

Notes

  • For added flavor, mix in a handful of chopped fruit, such as strawberries or blueberries, before freezing.
  • These bites can also be enjoyed as a topping for yogurt or oatmeal.
  • Use flavored applesauce (such as cinnamon or berry) for a different twist.
