- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup milk

- 1/2 tsp nutmeg (optional)
- Vegetable oil, for frying (if making fried donuts)
For the Gummy Glaze:
- 1 cup gummy candies (any flavor or mix)
- 2 tbsp water
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar (optional, for thickening)

Prepare the Donut Batter:
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and nutmeg.
- In another bowl, mix milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla.
- Combine the wet and dry ingredients, stirring until just mixed.

Cook the Donuts:
- For Fried Donuts: Heat oil in a deep pan to 350°F (175°C). Roll dough, cut into donut shapes, and fry until golden brown (about 1-2 minutes per side). Drain on paper towels.
- For Baked Donuts: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Pipe or spoon batter into a greased donut pan and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until lightly golden.

Make the Gummy Glaze:
- In a heatproof bowl, melt gummy candies with 2 tbsp water using a microwave (30-second intervals, stirring in between) or a double boiler.
- Stir until smooth. If too thick, add a little more water. If too thin, mix in powdered sugar.

Glaze the Donuts:
- Dip the warm donuts into the melted gummy glaze. Let excess drip off.
- Place on a wire rack to set. For extra color, drizzle with another melted gummy color or add sprinkles!
