Description

These Homemade Garlic Butter Cheese Bombs are soft, cheesy, and loaded with buttery garlic flavor! Perfect as an appetizer, snack, or side dish. With a golden-brown crust and gooey mozzarella center, these are sure to be a crowd-pleaser!

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 12 small cubes of mozzarella cheese
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter (melted)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley
  • Optional: grated Parmesan cheese for topping

Instructions

  • Prepare the Dough: In a large bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually fold in the Greek yogurt until a soft dough forms. Knead lightly until smooth.
  • Shape the Bombs: Divide the dough into 12 equal portions. Flatten each piece, place a cube of mozzarella in the center, and seal the edges tightly to form a ball.
  • Prepare Garlic Butter: In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, and parsley.
  • Brush and Bake: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Place the dough balls on a parchment-lined baking sheet, seam-side down. Brush each ball generously with garlic butter.
  • Bake: Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown. For extra flavor, sprinkle Parmesan on top during the last 5 minutes of baking.
  • Serve: Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Serve warm and enjoy the cheesy, garlicky goodness!

Notes

  • Make sure the dough is sealed tightly around the cheese to prevent leakage during baking.
  • You can substitute parsley with dried Italian seasoning for a different flavor profile.
