Description

This Honey Butter Skillet Corn is a quick and delicious side dish that combines sweet corn with creamy butter and honey for a rich, caramelized flavor. Perfect for holiday meals, barbecues, or an easy weeknight side!

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 3 cups frozen or fresh corn kernels
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream (optional, for extra creaminess)
  • 1/2 tsp salt (adjust to taste)
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder (optional)
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan (optional, for garnish)
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  • Melt the Butter & Honey:

    • In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter and honey, stirring until combined.
  • Cook the Corn:

    • Add the corn kernels to the skillet and sauté for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the corn is tender and slightly caramelized.
  • Season & Add Cream (Optional):

    • Stir in salt, pepper, and garlic powder (if using).
    • If you prefer a creamier dish, pour in the heavy cream and stir until warmed through.
  • Finish & Serve:

    • Remove from heat and sprinkle with grated Parmesan and fresh parsley if desired.
    • Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

  • You can use canned corn (drained) if fresh or frozen isn’t available.
  • For a smoky flavor, add a pinch of smoked paprika.
  • Pairs well with grilled meats, roasted vegetables, or as a topping for mashed potatoes!
