This indulgent Hot Fudge Chocolate Pudding Cake is a magical dessert! A rich chocolate cake forms on top while a gooey fudge sauce creates itself underneath as it bakes. Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream for the ultimate treat.
Ingredients
For the Cake:

1 cup all-purpose flour (or plain flour)

3/4 cup milk

1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

For the Fudge Sauce:

1/2 cup white granulated sugar

1/2 cup packed light brown sugar

3 tablespoons cocoa powder (unsweetened recommended)

1 1/4 cups boiling water
Instructions

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9-inch square baking pan. Pre-boil water in a kettle while preparing the cake.

Prepare the Cake Batter:

In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, 1/2 cup granulated sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.

Add the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Whisk until smooth and fairly lump-free.

Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.

Prepare the Fudge Sauce:

In a separate bowl, mix together the remaining 1/2 cup white sugar, brown sugar, and 3 tablespoons cocoa powder.

Evenly sprinkle this mixture over the cake batter.

Slowly pour the boiling water over the top. Do not stir or mix into the batter. Allow the water to sit on top.
