Description

This Juicy Steak with Creamy Garlic Sauce is the perfect combination of tender, flavorful steak paired with a rich, creamy garlic sauce. The steak is seared to perfection and topped with a luscious garlic-infused cream sauce that adds an irresistible depth of flavor. Ideal for a special dinner or a delicious weeknight meal.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 2 ribeye steaks (or your preferred cut)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup beef broth
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 tsp dried thyme
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season the steaks generously with salt and pepper.
  2. Cook the steaks in the hot skillet for about 4-5 minutes per side (for medium-rare) or longer to your desired doneness. Remove the steaks from the skillet and set aside to rest.
  3. In the same skillet, add the butter and minced garlic, sautéing for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Add the beef broth, scraping any browned bits from the bottom of the pan.
  5. Stir in the heavy cream, Dijon mustard, and dried thyme, bringing the mixture to a simmer.
  6. Cook the sauce for 3-5 minutes, allowing it to thicken slightly.
  7. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese, continuing to cook until the sauce is smooth and creamy.
  8. Return the steaks to the skillet, spooning the sauce over the top. Let them heat through for 2 minutes.
  9. Serve the steaks with the creamy garlic sauce, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

  • For a richer sauce, you can add a splash of white wine to the skillet before adding the cream.
  • Use any cut of steak you prefer, though ribeye provides the best flavor and tenderness for this recipe.
  • This dish pairs perfectly with mashed potatoes or steamed vegetables.
