Description

Enjoy these savory, crunchy crisps that capture the bold, tangy flavor of pimento cheese in a simple, bite-sized snack. Perfect as an appetizer or a low-carb treat, these crisps offer a satisfying crunch and rich cheesy taste.

Ingredients

For the Crisps:
• 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
• 1/2 cup prepared pimento cheese (or a blend of cream cheese, mayonnaise, diced pimentos, and seasonings)
• 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
• 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat Oven:

    • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Mix Ingredients:

    • In a bowl, gently combine the shredded cheddar cheese, prepared pimento cheese, garlic powder, and smoked paprika until evenly mixed.
  • Form Crisps:

    • Drop heaping teaspoonfuls of the cheese mixture onto the parchment-lined baking sheet.
    • Using the back of a spoon, flatten each mound into a thin circle (about 1/4-inch thick).
    • Ensure there’s some space between each crisp, as they will spread slightly.
  • Bake:

    • Bake in the preheated oven for 10–12 minutes, or until the edges turn golden and the crisps are crisp.
    • Keep a close eye on them to avoid over-browning.

  • Cool & Serve:

    • Allow the crisps to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes.
    • Transfer to a serving plate and enjoy immediately for the best crunch.

Notes

For an extra kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the cheese mixture.
• Experiment with different cheeses (such as a blend of cheddar and Monterey Jack) to vary the flavor profile.
• These crisps are best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in an airtight container for up to one
