Description
This Pistachio Ooey Gooey Butter Cake is a rich, decadent dessert with a buttery crust and a gooey, creamy pistachio filling. It’s a perfect combination of nutty, sweet, and buttery flavors, ideal for any occasion.
Ingredients
– 1 box of yellow cake mix
– 1/2 cup butter, melted
– 1 egg
– 8 oz cream cheese, softened
– 1/2 cup butter, melted (for filling)
– 2 eggs (for filling)
– 1 box (3.4 oz) instant pistachio pudding mix
– 1 tsp vanilla extract
– 1/2 cup powdered sugar
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. In a medium bowl, combine the cake mix, 1/2 cup melted butter, and 1 egg. Mix well.
3. Press the cake mixture into the bottom of a greased 9×13-inch baking dish to form the crust.
4. In a separate bowl, beat together the cream cheese, 1/2 cup melted butter, 2 eggs, pistachio pudding mix, vanilla extract, and powdered sugar until smooth.
5. Pour the pistachio mixture over the cake crust in the baking dish.
6. Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the center is set but still gooey. The top should be golden brown.
7. Allow to cool before cutting into squares and serving.
Notes
– For a more intense pistachio flavor, you can add chopped pistachios on top before baking.
– This cake can be refrigerated for up to 3 days and still maintains its gooey texture.
– If you don’t have pistachio pudding mix, you can substitute with vanilla pudding mix for a different flavor.
