This recipe combines the best of two worlds – pizza and tacos! A crispy taco shell is topped with seasoned ground beef, melted cheese, and all your favorite pizza toppings for the ultimate fusion dish. Perfect for Taco Tuesdays or a fun family dinner!
Ingredients
– 6 small taco shells
– 1 lb ground beef
– 1 packet taco seasoning
– 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
– 1/2 cup pepperoni slices
– 1/2 cup chopped bell peppers
– 1/2 cup sliced olives
– 1/2 cup pizza sauce
– 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
– 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves (optional)
– 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain any excess fat.
3. Add taco seasoning and follow package instructions to cook the beef with the seasoning. Set aside.
4. Place taco shells on a baking sheet. Spread a thin layer of pizza sauce on the inside of each taco shell.
5. Fill each taco shell with the seasoned beef mixture.
6. Top with mozzarella cheese, pepperoni, bell peppers, and olives.
7. Sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese and red pepper flakes (optional).
8. Bake in the oven for 8-10 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
9. Remove from the oven and garnish with fresh basil leaves (optional).
10. Serve hot and enjoy the ultimate pizza-taco fusion!
Notes
– You can customize the toppings to suit your taste. Try adding mushrooms, onions, or other pizza favorites.
– For a spicier version, add jalapeños or a drizzle of hot sauce before serving.
