Description

This Ritz Cracker Chicken Casserole is a comforting, creamy dish featuring tender chicken, a crunchy Ritz cracker topping, and a deliciously savory sauce. It’s an easy, family-friendly dinner that’s perfect for weeknights or gatherings.

Ingredients

– 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cooked and shredded

– 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup

– 1 cup sour cream

– 1 tsp garlic powder

– 1 tsp onion powder

– 1/2 tsp salt

– 1/2 tsp black pepper

– 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

– 1 1/2 cups Ritz crackers, crushed

– 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cream of chicken soup, sour cream, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir in the shredded chicken and ½ cup of shredded cheddar cheese.

3. Pour the chicken mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly.

4. In a separate bowl, mix the crushed Ritz crackers with the melted butter. Sprinkle the cracker mixture evenly over the chicken casserole.

5. Top with the remaining ½ cup of shredded cheddar cheese.

6. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the casserole is bubbly and the top is golden brown.

7. Let it cool for 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy!

Notes

– For added flavor, you can mix in some chopped onions or bell peppers with the chicken mixture.

– You can substitute the chicken with turkey or use cooked rotisserie chicken for a faster prep time.

– If you prefer a healthier option, you can use a low-fat cream of chicken soup and sour cream.

– Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
