Description

This Sausage and Cabbage Stew is a hearty, comforting dish that’s perfect for family dinners! With smoked sausages, potatoes, carrots, and cabbage, this savory stew is a great way to warm up. Perfect for chilly evenings!


Ingredients

  • 1 lb smoked sausages, sliced
  • 1/2 head cabbage, chopped
  • 3 medium potatoes, cubed
  • 2 carrots, sliced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cups chicken broth
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Heat olive oil in a large pot and brown the sausages. Remove and set aside.
  • In the same pot, sauté onion until softened.
  • Add potatoes, carrots, and cabbage. Stir well.
  • Pour in the chicken broth, add garlic powder and paprika. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 20-25 minutes.
  • Return sausages to the pot and simmer for an additional 5 minutes. Serve warm.

Notes

  • Feel free to swap the smoked sausages with any type of sausage you prefer.
  • Add extra vegetables for a more hearty stew, such as parsnips or leeks.
