Description

This wrap is a savory fusion of smoked Gouda cheese and garlicky chicken wrapped in a soft tortilla. The tender, seasoned chicken is paired with melted smoked Gouda and a subtle garlic kick, making it a perfect, easy-to-make meal for lunch or dinner.

Ingredients

• 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 450-500g)

• 1 tablespoon olive oil

• 2 teaspoons garlic powder

• 1 teaspoon onion powder

• 1 teaspoon smoked paprika

• Salt and pepper, to taste

• 4 large flour tortillas

• 4 slices smoked Gouda cheese (or about 100g, shredded/melted)

• 1/2 cup creamy garlic sauce (store-bought or homemade)

• Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

1. Season the Chicken:

– In a bowl, toss the diced or flattened chicken breasts with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.

2. Cook the Chicken:

– Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat.

– Add the seasoned chicken and cook for 6-8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until golden and cooked through.

3. Assemble the Wraps:

– Lay out the tortillas and spread a thin layer of creamy garlic sauce on each.

– Place the cooked chicken evenly on each tortilla.

– Add a slice or a generous sprinkle of smoked Gouda cheese over the chicken.

4. Melt the Cheese:

– Fold the tortillas into wraps.

– Return the wraps to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until the cheese melts and the tortillas are lightly toasted.

5. Serve:

– Garnish with chopped fresh parsley if desired.

– Slice in half and serve warm.

Notes

• For an extra flavor boost, try marinating the chicken in garlic and spices for 30 minutes before cooking.

• Customize your wrap by adding fresh greens, sliced tomatoes, or a drizzle of your favorite hot sauce.

• Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 2 days. Reheat gently to preserve texture.
