Ingredients
**For the bread bowl:**
– 1 large round bread loaf (sourdough or French bread)
– 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
– 1 clove garlic, minced
**For the seafood filling:**
– 1 tbsp olive oil
– 1/2 lb shrimp, peeled, deveined, and chopped
– 1/2 lb lump crab meat
– 2 tbsp unsalted butter
– 3 cloves garlic, minced
– 1/2 cup heavy cream
– 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
– 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
– 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
– 1 tsp Old Bay seasoning
– 1/2 tsp salt
– 1/4 tsp black pepper
– 1/2 tsp paprika
– 1/2 tsp dried parsley
– 1 tbsp lemon juice
– 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese (for topping)
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. Cut the top off the bread loaf and hollow out the center, leaving a 1-inch thick border. Brush the inside with melted butter and minced garlic. Toast in the oven for 5-7 minutes until slightly crispy.
3. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes until pink. Remove and set aside.
4. In the same pan, melt butter and sauté minced garlic until fragrant. Stir in heavy cream, cream cheese, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheese. Stir until smooth.
5. Add crab meat, cooked shrimp, Old Bay seasoning, salt, pepper, paprika, parsley, and lemon juice. Stir well and simmer for 2 minutes.
6. Pour the seafood mixture into the toasted bread bowl and top with shredded cheddar cheese.
7. Bake for 10-15 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
8. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm. Enjoy!
