Description

These sweet potato muffin treats are a wholesome, homemade snack for your dog. Made with natural ingredients, they offer a tasty way to reward your furry friend while providing beneficial nutrients.

Ingredients

– 1 medium sweet potato, baked and mashed (about 1 cup)

– 1 large egg

– 2 tablespoons unsweetened peanut butter (ensure it’s xylitol-free)

– 1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour (or substitute with oat flour for gluten sensitivity)

– 1/4 cup water (adjust as needed for batter consistency)

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a muffin tin by lining it with paper cups or lightly greasing it.

2. In a medium bowl, combine the mashed sweet potato, egg, and peanut butter until smooth.

3. Gradually stir in the whole wheat flour, adding water as needed until a thick, well-mixed batter forms.

4. Spoon the batter evenly into the muffin tin cups.

5. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the muffins are set and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

6. Remove from the oven and allow the treats to cool completely before serving to your dog.

Notes

– Always ensure that all ingredients are safe for your dog (avoid any with xylitol or harmful additives).

– Serve these treats as an occasional snack and not as a meal replacement.

– Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week, or freeze for longer storage.

– You may substitute whole wheat flour with an alternative if your dog has dietary sensitivities.
