Zesty Lemon Butter Fish Fillet is a light and flavorful dish featuring tender fish fillets cooked in a tangy lemon butter sauce. It’s a quick and easy meal that’s perfect for weeknights or special occasions.
Ingredients
– 4 fish fillets (such as tilapia, cod, or haddock)
– 2 tbsp butter
– 1 tbsp olive oil
– 2 cloves garlic, minced
– 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
– Zest of 1 lemon
– 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
– Salt and pepper to taste
– Lemon wedges (for garnish)
Instructions
1. Heat olive oil and 1 tbsp butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
2. Season the fish fillets with salt and pepper on both sides.
3. Add the fish fillets to the skillet and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the fish from the skillet and set aside.
4. In the same skillet, add the remaining 1 tbsp butter and minced garlic. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
5. Add the lemon juice and lemon zest to the skillet, stirring to combine. Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes.
6. Return the fish fillets to the skillet and spoon some of the lemon butter sauce over them.
7. Cook for another 2 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
8. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with lemon wedges.
Notes
– You can use any mild, white fish fillets for this recipe.
– For a richer flavor, you can add a splash of white wine to the lemon butter sauce.
– Serve with steamed vegetables or over a bed of rice for a complete meal.
